Weekly singing groups and Annual Family camping festival
Our groups are open to all regardless of musical background so get in touch and join one of our weekly groups. If you can’t come on a weekly basis then why not join us for our annual family camp? Singing workshops, arts and crafts provided by Papermoose sports and as much fun as we can fit into one weekend. Advance bookings only. Email us to book your place or find out more
Singing is a great way to make friends, boosts self esteem and confidence and it’s fun! There’s no audition to join one of our weekly choirs and non music readers are more than welcome, with our teaching style fully inclusive regardless of musical background.
Our weekly adult groups run on a termly basis and we are happy to welcome new members towards the beginning of any given term. See daytime choir or evening choir for full information and email us to book your place.
Why Sing?
Singing is a way of binding communities together, but most of all it’s fun to work together and be part of a singing group rather than singing alone. Singing allows for shared emotion, it’s a fabulous ‘ice breaker’, an aerobic activity lowering blood pressure and raising endorphins. With so many benefits and so many songs to sing, there’s never a dull moment!
Family camp weekend ‘mini festival‘ 19 – 21 July 2013
Why not join us for this fun filled family weekend. 19th – 21st July 2013. With loads to do from Archery to Acoustic evenings, Sports to Singing, Canoeing to Cake eating. Booking in advance by email. Come for the whole weekend, or simply join us for the one day workshop
What songs do we sing?
We don’t tend to cover traditional chorale pieces and try to have a mixed repertoire from Classical to Pop to Gospel, Folk and Jazz. New songs are started each term so beginners are always welcome.
We tend to cover songs in 3 or 4 part harmony and in our weekly groups are able to build upon the material each week and have something very satisfying to show at the end of the term. If you’ve wondered what it feels like to sing in a choir, then join one of our groups and find out for yourself.
Why not get in touch and pop along to a weekly rehearsal to see if you’d like to join us for a term?
If you have a group and would like to arrange a workshop for team building in the workplace or for fun at a family party, then we’d love to hear from you and build a workshop around your needs.
